It was a cold friday morning in Bogotá, the weather was getting rainy by the second and we were worried that our guest wouldn’t agree to do the scheduled photoshoot outdoors. We thought about doing it indoors, but then we agreed that we should do the interview first and the photoshoot later, so that way we made time and hoped for the weather to get a little warmer, and at the same time, we get to know better with everyone.
Era una fría mañana de viernes en Bogotá, el clima estaba lluvioso y nosotros estábamos preocupados que nuestro invitado no quisiera hacer la sesión de fotos programada afuera. Pensamos en hacerla dentro, pero decidimos que debíamos hacer la entrevista primero y la sesión de fotos después, de esa manera, hacíamos tiempo y esperábamos que el clima se pusiera un poco más caluroso, y al mismo tiempo, nos conocíamos mejor con todos.
We were preparing the cameras and the rest of the equipments when at 10am, Mr. Eizo Sakamoto, his manager, Harrison Masashi, and two guys of the team of Amaterasu Productions appeared in front of our door with smiling faces and positive energy. We never expected the warm feelings that surrounded us all when we started to shoot. Mr. Sakamoto was so charming and funny. Always full of charisma and I swear he has more energy in his 51 than all of us in our 20’s. The interview went smooth, relaxed, and full of laughter. This is the result. Enjoy~
Estábamos preparando las cámaras y el resto del equipo cuando a las 10am, el Sr. Eizo Sakamoto, su manager, Harrison Masashi, y dos chicos del equipo de Amaterasu Productions, aparecieron en nuestra puerta con caras sonrientes y energía positiva. Nunca esperamos el cálido sentimiento que nos envolvió cuando empezamos a filmar. El Sr. Sakamoto fue tan amable y gracioso. Siempre lleno de carisma y juro que él tiene más energía a sus 51 que todos nosotros a nuestros 20’s. La entrevista fue tranquila, relajada y llena de risas. Éste es el resultado. Disfruten~
This is only a fraction of the great man Mr. Sakamoto is, he’s not only easygoing and charismatic, but he’s also down to earth and very respectful, he’s a gentleman.
Éste es sólo un fragmento del gran hombre que es el Sr. Sakamoto, él no sólo es chévere y carismático, sino que también es realista y muy respetuoso, es un caballero.
As an FYI, Mr. Sakamoto did agree to do the photoshoot outdoors. The weather didn’t really get better, but when we asked him, he smiled widely and said «Yes! Yes! I like it raining; it’s like my time of shower».
Como informativo, el Sr. Sakamoto si accedió a hacer la sesión de fotos al aire libre. El clima no mejoró realmente, pero cuando le preguntamos, él sonrió ampliamente y dijo «¡Si! ¡Si! Me gusta que esté lloviendo; es como mi hora de baño».
As the Rock Star he is, he didn’t care about the annoying breeze in his face, or the sudden changes in Bogotá’s weather, (you know, one minute is freezing cold and the next is hot-inferno and suffocating), or the, sometimes dangerous, pictures we took…, he did everything we asked him, and more, like the pro he is. We had fun, we chat, we laugh…long story short, it was a great day.
Como la estrella de rock que es, no le importó la brisa cansona en su cara, o los cambios repentinos del clima bogotano (ya saben, un minuto está helando y al otro está caliente y sofocante), o las, a veces peligrosas, fotos que le tomamos…, él hizo todo lo que le pedimos y más, como el profesional que es. Nos divertimos, charlamos, nos reímos…, en resumidas cuentas, fue un gran día.
